A built in credit card acceptor would be nice, but there actually is an accessory that does that. They sell it at the Apple store.

I love the idea of the pen (i blogged about the need for a pen on my website). And M^3 sounds really cool. Honestly though, it could be used in a social networking way and not be considered "manager" ish. It could work letting you show people stuff on their own Ipad Pro from yours (only available to them while u're within wifi distance). For showing pictures, etc. Still very usable in a meeting, but opens it up for everyone.

Oh, the link to my ideas on the pen for ipad:

Throw in Bluetooth to sync with your iPhone and/or headset, a broadband internet connection for on-the-go surfing and a directional microphone. For business users it would make a handy mobile teleconferencing tool. The first true all-in-one video phone?

Hey Jeremy,

Interesting article, but just want to point out a few things.

There is no hype. Not from Apple.

As to "disappointment," the same type of people were unimpressed by iPod and iPhone.

For something targeting at business, having a camera could actually be a detriment. How many multi-touch devices with native projector output is available for $499? iPod touch doesn't have a camera and it sold very well.

iPad already has stylus support
http://obamapacman.com/2010/02/tips-top-10-ways-to-use-apple-iphone-ipod-touch-ipad-capacitive-touchscreen-display-in-cold-winter/6/

Third party HDMI output adapter is available.

IBM and other companies are making business apps specifically for the iPad.

I'd love to be able to scribble on it with any pen (off course not actually writing). So the Ipadpro would recognize it as a stylus.
Also a flexible keyboard/protective sleeve. I made a visual about this idea: http://atohms.wordpress.com/projects/apple-tablet-sleeve/
(this was before the ipad was made public so sorry for the dimensions)
Multitasking. USb for projector connection. And All the multitouchgizmo's I'd sell my kidney for one.
