From Developer to Designer
This post in the fifth in a series where I am recording the SEO efforts of my site wiiifit.com. If you’ve missed the previous posts, you should view these first.
I will only be doing these posts every two weeks from now on because there isn’t much more that I plan to add so the only updates will be on the analytics and earnings type of stuff.
I did most everything I said I would do at the end of last post. Added <strong> to the pictures page and made a video page that has some youtube clips of demonstrations and game footage.
While the number of visitors remained around a consistent 15-20 a day my SEO rankings are really starting to improve.
Here’s the last two weeks results.
Google Keyword Rankings
Not really sure what clicked but week 5 saw an explosion in how well the site got ranked. Maybe Google finally indexed all the pages.
Adsense Earnings for Past Weeks
Week 4
Week 5
A good week 4 and a pathetic week 5.
Analytics for the Past Weeks
Week 4
Week 5
Since the US release of the game is this week and it has experienced shortages in its other release areas, I will make a page that will answer the question, “Where to find Wii Fit”. I’m hoping that this is going be a popular search term.
Apart from that just regular updates.
See you at the next chapter.

I’m with you Lisa. Wii Fit is nice and all but until it gets 3G and push e-mail it can wait.

Any update on this project? It’s been a little over 2 weeks and I’m interested to hear if you’ve made any progress.

Hey, just better point out something, you might want to check at the, US Patent and Trademark office to see if you actually bought a trademark or copyright that belongs to Nintendo.
Also having 3 iii’s might mean you are running a domain typo site, which might make nintendo think you are trying to gain traffic from people misspelling their domains.
Hope the info helps?

@DT - yeah a briefly considered that but now that you mention it again you have me paranoid. I keep waiting for a Nintendo SWAT team to drop from the sky and tase me with some modified Wii Remotes.
Granted I’ve only made $30 from the site so I don’t think I’m too high on their list of people to stop, but I do need to look into it a bit just to make sure.
Thanks for the info, I appreciate it.
